House arrest canceled for Minenna. Immediate release for the former director of Customs under investigation

BOLOGNA. The Freedom Court of Bologna has canceled the precautionary custody order, issued by the Gip of Forlì, for the former director of Customs and councilor in Calabria Marcello Minenna. The judges, after the appeal of the defense (lawyers Gianluca Tognozzi and Roberto D'Atri) therefore ordered the immediate release from house arrest, to which he had been subjected since 22 June. He had been arrested as part of the investigation into a millionaire scam on masks in the early days of Covid. According to the Forlì public prosecutor's office, between Minenna and the former Northern League parliamentarian and entrepreneur, Gianluca Pini, there would have been a 'pactum sceleris', a true pact with an exchange of favours: Pini had promised Minenna to accredit him within the League so that was considered a man of that party and promised him confirmation of his appointment as director of the Customs Agency following the change of government.
