Gucci becomes the first Italian luxury company with the Gender Equality Certification envisaged by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR). The company itself announces it.

“The certification – we read -, a first ever for a company in the luxury sector, was awarded to Gucci by Bureau Veritas – an independent company recognized worldwide, specialized in inspections, compliance audits and certifications – on the basis of an evaluation process focused on six key indicators: culture and strategy; governance; human resources processes; opportunities for growth and inclusion for women; gender pay equity; support for parenting and work-life balance”.

Among the points of the assessment, which was disclosed together with the publication of the 2022 edition of the Gucci Equilibrium Impact Report, “Bureau Veritas considered the establishment of the Global Equity Board to be particularly significant, a governance body which, with the Steering Committee for Gender Equality, defines the Maison’s vision and priorities on diversity and inclusion. Gucci’s comprehensive parental leave policies, welfare services and hybrid work model were also appreciated, as was its commitment to addressing gender issues and unwitting biases, while fostering professional growth”.
