Giro d'Italia, daspo for a fan: launch of smoke bombs and brawl
A 34-year-old was subjected to daspo after the 15th stage of Tour of Italythe Seregno-Bergamoon Sunday 21st May. The man threw a smoke bomb as the riders passed on the Boccola climb in Bergamo, and then slapped a spectator who had filmed him. The perpetrator of the act was reported and it emerged that he had already suffered a similar measure for football accidents. After the runners passed, the man would also have thrown the smoke bomb on the ground in the middle of the road. Approached at that point by a bystander, the man insulted him and hit him in the face. Immediate police intervention. A similar measure had been taken against five spectators who had lit a smoke bomb and caused a fire on the Capo Berta climb during the Milan-Sanremo 2019.
