Forza Italia, the new political manifesto. “United to continue Berlusconi’s work”

Thirteen pages for a new programmatic document, the first of the “after-Silvio”. The Presidential Committee of Forza Italia which met today in the national headquarters in via in Lucina approved what Antonio Tajani, indicated as regent of the party, considers a real political manifesto. With the definition of the priorities on which the parliamentary and governmental action of the movement launched by the Cav in ’94 will unfold. The text, enriched by the contributions of the parliamentarians, is presented in the final version with respect to the draft delivered by Tajani himself to the last assembly of forced deputies and senators.
Tribute to the memory of the founder
At the opening there is the «moved tribute to the memory of our founder and leader», Silvio Berlusconi and «reaffirms the commitment of all the women and men of Fi to continue his work, in the spirit of unity that the President has always wanted, and on the basis of his teachings and his political intuitions, which constitute a great project for the future of our country”.
Towards the National Council on July 15th
In the document that will be submitted for examination by the National Council scheduled for 15 July at the Parco dei Principi hotel in Rome, the «irreplaceable role of Fi in Italian politics is underlined, that of affirming and translating the great liberal principles into political action, Christians, guarantors, pro-Europeans, Atlanticists, who make up our identity and which only Fi represents in an organic and coherent way. From this value framework derives our belonging to the EPP, which we proudly represent in Italy and which constitutes an essential part of our identity”.
We are proud to represent the Ppe in Italy
In particular, there is a passage dedicated to the need to build an alliance between the popular and conservatives in Brussels in view of the European elections: “We proudly represent the EPP in Italy”. «A strong Europe, solid in its Judeo-Christian roots and in its liberal values, protagonist in the world with a common foreign and defense policy, in close agreement with the United States and the other NATO allies, a Europe that is the expression of the peoples and not only of the States, it constitutes the most far-sighted dream in Berlusconi’s political legacy».
Warhorses
The workhorses of Berlusconi are mostly stated, starting with the justice reform, the tax cut and the bridge over the Strait, considered condicio sine qua non for an “efficient use” of the funds of the Pnrr, considered “an indispensable opportunity to restart the country, which is offered to us by Europe thanks to the tenacious work of Berlusconi and Fi”.
