To the managing director Roberto Sergio, at rest after the event of the presentation of the schedules from which he emerged apparently satisfied, it seemed like a nightmare to fall back into chaos.

In the morning he had rebuffed the controversy over Fiorello’s broadcast, denying that, in order to do it return to via Asiago, Rai was thinking of indemnifying its residents. But the Facci question immediately appeared much more dangerous with its avalanche of negative comments, most of them in the opposition area, aimed at shooting the journalist, his future broadcast but above all the new Rai of everything, of everyone. Among the indignant comments, that of the director of the Pd area, Frances Briawho from Facci, requested the suspension.

But anyone familiar with the decision-making attitude of the CEO knows that, if Sergio had wanted to close the matter immediately, he would have done so, tearing up the commitments he had made, however not formalized. Instead, the strategy seemed to be another: in the silence of the company, let Facci speak, put things back in order and let the controversy fade away. Perhaps by referring the question to the Internal Commission which oversees the Code of Ethics, one of those infinite paths.

Certain, the declaration released in the evening by Facci he didn’t seem to have the strength to put out the fires. Returning the incident to a stylistic passage that one may not like is the confine his fine to the regret of not having been understood from those who have not read the entire article, they almost seemed an accusation. And the initiative of the Fnsi equal-opportunity commissions appears not without consequences on a practical level, Order of Journalists and Usigrai who have reserved the right to denounce Facci to the Disciplinary Board of the Order of Journalists of Milan. In Rai, silence cannot last: tomorrow the board of directors will have to deal with the case.
