Felice Giuffrè was elected as the last lay member of the CSM

IS Felice Giuffre’ the tenth, and last, lay member of the Superior Council of the Judiciary, elected by the Parliament meeting in joint session. This was announced in the Chamber of Deputies by the president of the Assembly of Deputies, Lorenzo Fontana. Giuffre’ got it 420 votes. To be elected, a quorum of three-fifths of the members of the Assembly was required, equal to 364 preferences. Indicated by the Brothers of Italy, in place of Giuseppe Valentino, who had renounced as he would be investigated by the Reggio Calabria prosecutor’s office, Giuffre’ is a full professor of public law institutions at the University of Catania. Two days ago, Parliament again meeting in joint session elected the first nine lay members on the first ballot.
