For the Republic Day of June 2nd Sergio Mattarella was interviewed by Postenews, the Poste Italiane magazine, and spoke of the 2024 European elections: «Next year there will be elections to the European Parliament. European unity – said the head of state – represents one of the most successful events in the history of our continent. The President of the Republic then praised the Post Office: “The organizational capillarity and the ability to innovate in the light of technological transformations represent a guarantee for guaranteeing services to all citizens and a vehicle for modernization – said the head of state -. The Polis project, based on the decision to keep post offices operational even in small municipalities, ensures that they can use the same services that are more easily accessible in cities. It is an Italy that is anything but secondary».
