New board of directors for Sustainability Makers, the Italian association of ESG managers, set up 17 years ago and became a third sector body in 2022. Four new people joined the board of 9 members. Confirmed for another mandate the president Marisa Parmigiani, head of sustainability and stakeholder management of the Unipol group since 2010 and director of the Unipolis Foundation. «The new top management of the association will work in continuity as regards training and empowerment – declared Parmigiani -. On the other hand, there will be strong discontinuity in participation in the consultation phases of European standards: in fact, from Brussels in recent years we have witnessed an acceleration, sometimes excessive, in the standardization of sustainability”. And she added: «In the past the association had participated little in the consultation phases. We will change course at this point. I take the example of the new CSDD directive, on the duty of diligence, approved by the EU Parliament. It is a directive that is certainly necessary but that enters business management with a straight leg. Here, we intend to have our say on this measure”
