The IO App is preparing to become a digital wallet where you can keep all the documents useful in the relationship with the Public Administration. Identity and digital documents

The application will always be possible to access via Spid or Electronic Identity Card (Cie), but with some new features, which will also develop at the end of the debate on a single digital identity at national level and the possible end of Spid. Meanwhile, the IO App, compatible with the European format, will allow citizens to store within the system electronic versions, but strictly authentic and verifiable, of their documents in order to share them and to access public services in a simpler, faster way and without neglecting security. The European project

Italy’s ambition, to create a national digital wallet, to anticipate the path outlined by the European Union with the European digital identity wallet, a project proposed by the European Commission aimed at citizens and businesses to offer them a secure and immediate system to identify themselves online and share personal information. The IO App is the Italian model that comes closest to this concept, counting almost 34 million downloads and integrating almost 200,000 digital services, made available by 12,800 entities that send about twenty million messages a month via the platform. Compliance with the targets of the Pnrr
