The latest request comes from the candidate for the secretariat of the Democratic Party Stefano Bonaccini: « The use of confidential documents to attack the opposition in Parliament is a very serious act. It goes beyond the lack of knowledge of the laws and constitutional principles – in any case unacceptable for those who should lead the country – and endangers the state and national security: confidential documents are no joke, least of all they are used for a sinister political controversy. For this reason, the undersecretary of Justice Delmastro (Fdi) and the vice president of Copasir, Donzelli (Fdi), they should resign», explains the governor, who insists: «The Minister of Justice Nordio must clarify as soon as possible. Even in the face of the enormous contradiction of a government which, while confidential documents are being released, is working on a squeeze on the diffusion of interceptions».
The leader of Action shares the same opinion Charles Calenda: «Delmastro cannot stay at the Dap. The dissemination of confidential interceptions to exploit them politically is disgraceful, illegal and unprecedented. He would like to hear a clear word from Nordio. You cannot be guaranteed in words and then turn away,” says Calenda.
But not just resignations. From the national co-spokesman of Green Europe and deputy of Alleanza Verdi e Sinistra Angelo Bonelli a real legal action also arrives: «This morning I sent to the Public Prosecutor of Rome, Dr. Francesco Lo Voi a exposed which calls for the opening of a criminal investigation to verify whether crimes have been committed, starting by article 326 of the penal code, in relation to the statements made in the courtroom by Giovanni Donzelli and to the press by the Deputy Minister of Justice Andrea Delmastro Delle Vedove with delegation to the Dap», says Bonelli, according to which Donzelli made public «precise contents of the conversations between the prisoner Cospito and the ‘Ndrangheta Francesco Presta, and always between Cospito and the Camorra Francesco Di Maio.
Yesterday evening, Deputy Minister Delmastro admitted that it was he who gave the information, contained in a confidential report by the Dap, to Hon. Donzelli, information that is not available to MPs. We are faced with facts of unheard-of gravity because Donzelli is Vice President of Copasir and Delmastro Deputy Minister of Justice: due to the careless use they have made of this information they can no longer perform the delicate functions that have been assigned to them. For this reason, I ask for the resignation of Donzelli’s Copasir and as Delmastro’s deputy minister and I hope that President Meloni will intervene to protect the institutions that are not owned by anyone but are at the service of the interests of the Italian Republic », he concludes.
