Undersecretary of Justice Andrea Delmastro in an interview with the newspaper ‘Il Biellese’ he recounts his version of the facts on the visit of the four Pd parliamentarians to the Sassari prison, last January 12, to see in what health conditions the anarchist was Alfred Cospito on hunger strike. An inspection that ended up at the center of the speech by Giovanni Donzelli of FdI on January 31 in the Chamber of the Chamber which unleashed the fury of the dem. The Democratic Party “will have to explain that bow to the mafiosi to public opinion,” says Delmastro in his city newspaper.

Delmastro thus continues to reiterate the line that the center-right has been pursuing for days, despite the reply from the Democratic Party: “We talked to these prisoners (those held in 41bis at the Sassari prison together with Cospito, ed) as much as we would have talked with Cospito. And we went there only and exclusively for humanitarian reasons to check his health conditions”, as repeated by Debora Serracchiani, group leader in the Chamber of the Democratic Party, among the parliamentarians visiting the penitentiary in mid-January.

The undersecretary of Justice, a very loyal Biorgia Meloni, quoting what Walter Verini said, recalls that Cospito had told the dems he did not want to talk to them if they had not talked to the others first. And among these others were the two bosses De Maio and Presta. Now in ‘Il Biellese’ he comments again: “A request – which the Pd delegation did not refuse, agreeing to bow when speaking with the two criminals”. Strong words, which refer to the gesture of reverence reserved for bosses.
