Doors closed to journalists and curtains drawn as it hasn’t happened since 1994: this is how the meeting of the Veneto Regional Council is taking place in Venice, called to decide on possible sanctions for Joe Cheeseelected on the FdI lists, in relation to what was reported by his colleague Milena Cecchetto. The Bureau of Palazzo Ferro Fini had approved the resolution proposed by the president on 9 March Robert Ciambetti, placing a censure and a 5-day suspension against the councilor. The session began at 10.30 without the presence of Cecchetto, who preferred to stay at home. The last and only time the Veneto council met behind closed doors was in 1994 for the vote of the general directors of the Ulss.
