Construction, 269,000 workers are missing by 2027. Unioncamere and Formedil agree to train them

After the last national collective labor agreement Ance and Coop has traced a very clear path on the future of employment and training in the building industry, an agreement arrives between Unioncamere and Formedil (the sole body for training and safety in the construction sector) to fill the gap that is widening in the sector.
Between now and 2027, in fact, construction and infrastructure will need 269,000 new workers: 4 out of 10, however, will be difficult to find. This, explains a note, “could be a major brake on the growth of the sector which in recent months has also been playing a key role in the implementation of the Pnrr”. This is how the agreement between Unioncamere and Formedil was born, which signed a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at bridging the mismatch between job supply and demand.
Three objectives. The first is to carry out research and development of professional figures, development of technical-professional skills and entrepreneurial skills in the construction sector. The second is to invest in student training, to encourage the development of professionals with skills that meet the training needs of companies in the sector. The third is to contribute to raising the quality of the service offered by technical and professional education.
