For the first time since the beginning of the government, the confidence index in the prime minister falls below 40 percent. Brothers of Italy are growing again in voting intentions, while for the Pd the Schlein effect is slowing down

For the first time since the beginning of his government, the trust of Italians in Giorgia Meloni has fallen below 40 percent. Photographed by a survey Euromedia Research published on Presswhich takes into account the evaluations of the Italians towards the various members of the executive, now almost six months after his inauguration.

39.7 percent of the sample appreciates and expresses confidence in the premier, the lowest figure since he was sworn in as prime minister. A rather common dynamic when you are in government and you make choices that inevitably displease someone. Among the members of the government team, on the other hand, the one with the highest degree of trust is the defense minister Guido Crosetto (collects 37.6 per cent, albeit down by 6 per cent compared to the beginning of the mandate). A sign that the positions in defense policies, for example on the war in Ukraine, have benefited from a benevolent assessment by public opinion. And that international issues are paramount in the interests of Italians is demonstrated by the fact that immediately after Crosetto, in terms of appreciation, is Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani (he has the trust of 37.5 percent of the sample). Then all the others. Among the “rejected” candidates, at the bottom of the ranking, are the Minister of Labor Marina Calderone (17.8 percent) and the Minister of Relations with Parliament Luca Ciriani (17.5 percent). On a scale of 0 to 10, the average rating expressed by Italy on the government as a whole is 5.03

Finally, as regards voting intentions, after a slight decline, the Brothers of Italy reversed course and resumed growth by plus 0.9 per cent over two weeks, rising to 29.6 per cent. The Schlein effect for the Pd seems to have slowed down, which again in the same period of time loses 0.4 percent and stops at 20.1 percent. Then there are M5s (15.2 percent) and Lega (9.3 percent).
