What is 8 per thousand

Thanks to 8 per thousand, Italian taxpayers have the opportunity to finance the State or a religious institution, in particular the activities of the Catholic Church, Union of Adventist Christian Churches of the Seventh day, Assemblies of God in Italy, Union of Methodist and Waldensian Churches, Evangelical Lutheran Church in Italy, Union of Italian Jewish Communities, Evangelical Baptist Christian Union, Apostolic Church of Italy, Orthodox Archdiocese of Italy, Buddhist Union and Hindu Union. In order for the 8 per thousand to reach a particular beneficiary, the taxpayer must sign a special box contained within the Model 730 or the Unico, thus indicating the beneficiary he prefers.
