The increases in 2023
From 1 January 2023, the salary of cleaners, carers and babysitters could rise by 9%, with the risk of a new sting for families, already grappling with expensive living and bills. But by how much will the monthly expenditure for employers increase? To make estimates for the Corriere della Sera it is Assindatcolf, the national association of domestic employers, which has taken into consideration three categories: a non-cohabiting caregiver for a self-sufficient person, a cohabiting caregiver for a non-self-sufficient person and a babysitter. In the first case, with adjustment to inflation, the expenditure of a family would increase by around 75 euros per month, in the second by 119 and in the third by 138. If we consider that in January there could also be a recalculation of contributions, the expenditure could grow further.
