Between Giarrusso and other controversies, Bonaccini is increasingly favored for the Pd secretariat

More Bonaccini than Schlein. We will have to wait for the outcome of the primaries on 26 February, but it is between them that the next secretary will most likely be appointed. The trend, already clear for some time, continues to consolidate. The last photograph, after a weekend of meetings and conventions, comes from an EMG survey for Agorà. And net of the controversy of these hours on Dino Giarrusso’s entry into the party, Stefano Bonaccini collects 46 percent of the votes among the voters of the Democratic Party. Elly Schlein chases, quite distanced, with 23 percent of the votes.

The remainders are divided by Paola De Micheli, around 10 percent, and Gianni Cuperlo who collects 6 percent of the preferences. Before the gazebos and the open primaries, however, it will be the members of the dem circles who will have to express themselves on the individual motions, indicating the two profiles on which to vote in February. Difficult big surprises, everything suggests that the match will be between the president of Emilia Romagna and his ex vic, while even the big names in the party are divided over Schlein’s radicalism and Bonaccini’s more reformist approach.

If last week, it was the discussion on the manifesto of the works and on the return of the defectors of Article One – Speranza, Bersani and companions – that took the stage, in the last few hours the controversy has come from Milan: “Today I officially announce my entry into the Pd”, Giarrusso said on Saturday, from the stage of the Bonaccini convention in Milan. “I tiptoe in,” explained the former M5s, with a television past at the Hyenas, who made public his appreciation for the Emilian governor. After a weekend in which she saw her in Turin, Genoa and then in Emilia-Romagna, the deputy dem will be back in Rome today, in the Garbatella district, to continue the race for the secretariat.
