Berlusconi’s Villa Arcore will become a place of memory with the cups and the contract with the Italians – Corriere.it

Berlusconi’s orthodoxy will have its own place of worship, which will be part of the Arcore villa; its symbols, from one of the two copies of the Contract with the Italians signed in the studio of Bruno Vespa twenty-two years ago (the other had remained in the Rai studios) at the five replicas of the Champions Cups won by the president of Milan, without forgetting the memorabilia received as a gift by the Cavaliere from international heads of state during his terms as prime minister; and also the priestess of him, since Martha Fascina will continue to live in a portion of Villa San Martino.

Of certainties, pending the opening of the will – which according to Fedele Confalonieri, intercepted on the sidelines of the Assolombarda assembly, will be there next week and without repercussions in the family and on the structure of the companies controlled or participated by Fininvest – there are some one above all: as it stands, the assets of Berlusconi’s residences have a management cost that exceeds ten million euros a year. And a cost that must be cut. The two properties in Antigua and the Villa Blue Horizon in Bermuda – the latter made famous by the shot that immortalized the memorable jogging session in which they participated Berlusconi, Letta, Confalonieri, Galliani, Dell’Utri and Bernasconi — have not been frequented for some time and are therefore at the top of the list of properties for sale. Unlike Villa La Lampara, on the Côte d’Azur, in Cannes, which would remain among the houses to keep also because it is located in a place not too far from the villa of Marina, which the eldest daughter visits quite frequently. There is a question mark concerning Villa Grande, on the Appia Antica, in Rome, the house that had belonged to Frank Zeffirelli and that Berlusconi had bought letting the director and friend live there until the end of his days, which in recent years has been the Capitoline domicile of the former prime minister after the lease on the noble floor of Palazzo Grazioli ended; and many questions about Villa Gernetto, which had been purchased with the never realized intention of making it a kind of Forza Italia cadre school and which over time had become the headquarters of that University of Freedom that remained practically unfinished.

and then there Villa San Martino, the Mecca of Berlusconi throughout the ages, the symbol of the rise of the Knight in business, finance, sport and then also in politics. Marta Fascina resides and will continue to reside in one part of the residence. Another portion of the property, which includes the part dedicated to the offices of the collaborators and also the art gallery, is probably destined to become the place of memory and to give substance to that project that is in the head of family members and close friends of the Knight. Without obviously the due proportions, not a place for mass pilgrimages like the graceland of Elvis, this for now is not even in the head of those who dream big. But something that keeps alive a significant piece of the last half century of this country, yes.
