Shortly afterwards, however, the senators of Forza Italia received a whatsapp from Licia Ronzulli, president of the Senate: «On the occasion of the thirtieth anniversary of the death of our president, Wednesday 12 July at 7.30 pm, at the Basilica of Santa Eustachio in Rome, the saint will be celebrated in memory of our president. A Mass that will be officiated by Monsignor Mario Laurenti».

A context that pushes Paolo Barelli, group leader in the Chamber, to use an ecumenical declaration to try to extinguish the controversy: an initiative taken by parliamentary groups, born of those with religious feelings.
