Beppe Sala and Stefano Bonaccini they are respectively the most loved mayor and president of the region in Italy. Both centre-left, they lead the Municipality of Milan and the Emilia Romagna Region. Sala, with 65% approval, conquers the first position in the Governance Poll 2023, the survey on the consent of local administrators carried out for the nineteenth consecutive year by the Noto Polling Institute for Il Sole 24 Ore. Sala, in his second term, improved his approval rating by 7.3% compared to the day of the election and with an improvement compared to last year’s fourth position. In fourth place Michael War (Parma, 63%), which finished ex aequo with Louis Brugnaro, center-right Venetian mayor who occupied the first position in the Governance Poll 2022. Last position for Marco Guarentemayor of Potenza (42%).

In the top ten mayors, the centre-left beats the centre-right 7 to 2, with the 10th place occupied by the Clement Mastella (Benevento, 59%).

Among the presidents of the Region, the result of stands out Stefano Bonaccini (Emilia Romagna 69%, an increase of 17.6% compared to the moment of the election and better than the third position last year), which Luca Zaia (Veneto 68.5%) a record held for twelve years.
