This year’s budget law takes place under the sign of uncertainty about economic events dominated by the growing unpredictability of the national and international scenarios. The current uncertainty includes the still present risks of the pandemic and those of the war in Ukraine, but it also goes beyond these because the international economic situation threatens to turn into a deadly combination of inflation and recession. The evolution of the international economic scenario, which has accumulated negative stimuli throughout the current year, leads us to foresee a drastic slowdown of the economy, which could become, it is feared, a recession.
