Silvio Berlusconi’s inheritance will double the assets of Barbara, Eleonora and Luigi to around one billion each but will quadruple that of Marina and Pier Silvio: 1.6 billion each. We did the accounts in the pocket of the five brothers, personal properties included, even the lesser-known ones such as the 70-room house of Barbara Berlusconi in the Pagano area in Milan or the house that Pier Silvio bought in Arcore, the French companies Sci Billy and Navy Cardigan Ski. And then Luigi’s villa in Milan: the former Villa Borletti, a symbol of Berlusconi’s epic.

Participation in Fininvest

The five Berlusconis, who live off their wealth without flaunting it, all have a large part of their assets identifiable with the participation in Fininvest which before the founder’s death was worth 340 million each for Marina and Pier Silvio and 320 each for Barbara, Eleonora and Luigi . But the three youngest have also developed their own businesses for a total value of 400 million. The Berlusconi legacy is not just Fininvest: a substantial real estate capital will be assigned as well as all the Knight’s personal assets. A total of 4 billion making rough calculations, as there is no visibility around the entire perimeter. But let’s start with the houses of the five brothers, those that are currently their exclusive property.

Navy

The eldest daughter’s properties on the Côte d’Azur belong to French real estate companies in which her husband Maurizio Vanadia (Sci Cardigan) and her mother Carla Dall’Oglio (Sci Billy) have small shares. Of great value is the villa in Chteauneuf de Grasse, one of the most beautiful villages in the French hinterland, half an hour’s drive from the sea on the Côte d’Azur. In Italy, Fininvest’s number one has only a small apartment in the Bande Nere area in Milan and two floors for a total of 22 rooms in a beautiful building in Corso Venezia, in the city centre.

Pier Silvio

From Pier Silvio’s real estate portfolio emerges the villa of Arcore junior, a quarter of an hour’s walk from the senior, Villa San Martino, which his father lived in until his last days. a 33.5-room luxury residence with park. Exclusive owner Pier Silvio who also has a couple of apartments in Segrate. Last year the purchase (for 20 million according to rumors) of the splendid 1,300 square meter Villa San Sebastiano in Portofino emerged.

Barbara

Pagano, a stone’s throw from the center of Milan and from City Life, in one of the most sought after and expensive areas of Milan. Here the prestigious apartments are sold for 10,000 euros per square metre. And here Barbara Berlusconi has her palace and the only building owned by her in a beautiful building in old Milan: 70 rooms plus 250 square meters of garage and cellars. Considering that according to the cadastre a room between 8 and 20 square meters, it is understood that there is no shortage of space for the large family (Barbara has 5 children from 1 to 15 years old, all boys).

Eleanor

An almost normal apartment (2-300 square meters) in the historic center not far from the Basilica of San Nazaro and a smaller one a short distance away. Nothing else for the most reserved of the Knight’s children.

Louis

A large elegant apartment a three-minute walk from the church of Santa Maria delle Grazie and the Cenacolo Vinciano. And then the surprise: the former Villa Borletti in Milan, the historic place in the life of Berlusconi who moved here in the 1970s. It was known that Luigi was fascinated by it, not that he had bought it. With its 46 rooms in one of the most prestigious areas of Milan, today it has a very high value. But did Luigi buy or was it a donation from his father? And the properties of the other brothers? The question touches on the hereditary assets: the donation made to the legitimacy of the donor, in fact, is considered by law an advance of inheritance and therefore must be charged to the legitimate share.

The division of the inheritance

To their assets the five brothers will add those of their father on the basis of the distribution of the inheritance. As long as Silvio Berlusconi was there, Marina and Pier Silvio’s shares of Fininvest equity (4.5 billion at the end of 2022) were worth, as mentioned, about 340 million each. Those of the other three about 320 each. But the three youngest add up the 400 million activities of their H14 and they rise to 453 million each. After the Knight’s death and his decision to leave the available portion of the inheritance (one third) only to Marina and Pier Silvio the cards are reshuffled. Fininvest (of which the former premier had 61%) will see the two sons already at the helm of the group rise from 15 to 53% and the others from 21 to 47%. The portfolio of the five includes a total of 2.74 billion of Fininvest value (net equity) that is 61% former Berlusconi senior. And then the large villas (Certosa, San Martino, Macherio, etc.) and other real estate properties estimated at 6-700 million.

Works of art, cash and personal investments

Another 6-700 million, according to approximate estimates, would emerge from all other assets (works of art, liquidity and personal investments, policies, furniture and fittings, etc.). From here we arrive at the 4 billion of the inheritance of which only 2.74 billion is precisely the Fininvest share and the rest is divided 60% (Marina and Pier Silvio) 40% (Barbara & C). Result (not counting donations during their lifetime): Marina and Pier Silvio will have assets worth 1.6 billion each, the three brothers just over one billion each.
