After the latest tears at the negotiating table for the renewal of the Abi bank contract, the unions are trying to speed up the time frame of the claim platform which will represent the starting point of the negotiations which concern almost 270 thousand workers.

It has not yet been completed, but in a joint letter, Fabi, First Cisl, Fisac Cgil, Uilca and Unisin explain that after a report was signed with Abi on February 28 to suspend the expiry terms of the national contract at the next 30 April, the work of the Commissions set up by the national secretariats continued steadily, to elaborate the renewal proposals. All in line with the agreement with the Abi, aimed at “promoting a shared renewal process that is useful for achieving constructive and prospective solutions to guarantee the unity of the banking category and enhance it from an economic, regulatory and employment point of view”, they explain credit symbols. The trade union claim platform is therefore being defined and will be brought to the workers’ and men’s assemblies which should be launched by April.

In the meantime, however, the unions have asked Abi for a meeting to discuss Fringe Benefits and to evaluate the economic and fiscal impacts of the Government’s choices on this issue.
