Xylella, Mexican designer Pedro Friedeberg in Brindisi for the protection of millenary olive trees

Circle of life the project, presented in Ostuni (Brindisi), which has as a priority objective that of saving the olive trees of the Piana dei Millenari in the north of the province of Brindisi affected by the xylella bacterium. For the realization of the project there will be the artistic contribution of the Mexican designer Pedro Friedeberg. The project foresees the application of the treatment of the Scortichini protocol to the plants. Thanks to the adoption, the olive trees of Masseria Guadalupe in the Ostuni countryside will be able to continue producing their fruits. Circle of life (circle of life) is not a name chosen at random, the intent is in fact to ensure that the fruit of the plants contributes to helping and treating the diseased tree. The second participatory action for the protection of the territory envisaged by the project is that of the sale of Traiana oil.

The first event

The oil will be packaged in a bottle whose label and packaging design is entrusted to an international artist each year. For the 2022 edition, the selected artist Friedeberg. Sunday the first event foreseen by the project with the conference Mexico meets Puglia which will be held at the Ostuni museum in which Jennifer Andreu, president of Circle Of Life, Carlos Garcia de Alba, ambassador of Mexico in Italy and Stefano Bronzini will participate, among others rector of the University of Bari.
