This note analyzes the phenomenon of resignations and layoffs with reference to the Italian labor market before and after Covid, trying to link the dynamics of the activations and terminations of employment relationships with the trend in employment, transitions job-to-job and the sectoral redeployment rate.[1] The analysis shows that in Italy there has not only been a tendency to voluntarily leave one’s job as in the United States (a phenomenon known as Great Designation)but that to resign
