Wimbledon 2023: Musetti passes the first round, Varillas knocks out in 3 sets

Problem-free first round for Lorenzo Musetti at the Wimbledon tournament, on the lawns of the All England Club in London which this year will distribute a record prize pool of 44,700,000 pounds. The blue n.2, and 16th player in the world, beat the Peruvian Juan Pablo Varillas in the three sets with a score of 6-3 6-1 7-5.

Musetti played practically perfect tennis for the first two sets, scoring several highly spectacular points and bringing home his first match at Wimbledon, conceding something to his opponent only in the third set when, on 4-2 and service, he made to take the break. The set then went on until 6-5 for the blue who again made the break that earned him the match.
