For the economy, the prime minister has chosen Renato Loiero, parliamentary adviser to the Senate where he heads the budget service. He has also been a lecturer in public finance at various universities. In the past, he held the role of tax officer of the Mef, Lombardy regional directorate, and officer of the Guardia di Finanza. It is a highly esteemed name among center-right parliamentarians, even if he also worked with the center-left and the grillini at Palazzo Madama. With Loiero, albeit slowly, Meloni’s technical team at Palazzo Chigi begins to take shape.
