Voting for Bonaccini is the only way to make the left feel at home

I fully understand that out of disappointment, political distance or snobbery many are tempted not to vote in the primaries of Democratic party. I believe it is a tool to defend. With all its imperfections, it is the only community that delegates to its supporters the burden of choosing who leads it, indeed it is a commitment that is betrayed every time block lists are made or the president or mayoral candidate is chosen in a small room . Many are rooting to say that if only a few participate they can be abolished and this is also a good reason to vote. Then there is who to choose and I have very few doubts: for me Stefano Bonaccini. I am so convinced of it that for the first time, to support it, I am running for the National Assembly. Stefano knows that winning or losing is different because he made the elections knowing that if he lost he would go home. It is an epochal difference with other “leadership” models where defeats are archived with a shrug of the shoulders and I am sure he will bring this spirit to Rome.

Stefano won without 5 Stars competing for their votes and those of every citizen. This is what the Democratic Party must do in the coming years: demonstrate that it can represent all those who want change without shortcuts. I think that turning only to those who are theoretically closest generates the risk of becoming more like Sel or the old DS day after day. Mind you, I’m really happy that Elly Schlein has returned to the Democratic Party and the Democratic Party grows if she manages to include many who have moved away in recent years, coming out from the left or towards the center or the disengagement. However, you can return, be protagonists, even without leading the party after only a month after returning and Stefano Bonaccini has already shown that he knows how to lead an executive where those who think like Schlein can feel at home.
