Vodafone, Margherita Della Valle has been appointed new CEO of the Corriere.it global group

The nomination

In December 2022, the firm announced the departure of Nick Read as Group Chief Executive Officer and Margherita Della Valle was appointed to fill the role on an interim basis, while also retaining her previous role as Chief Financial Officer, pending the Board’s indication a new group chief execute. The carreer

Margherita Della Valle, born in Rome in 1965, graduated from Des (Economic and Social Disciplines) of Bocconi University in 1988. Until 2018 she was deputy chief financial officer at group level and CFO for Vodafone Italia from 2004 to 2007. Already in 1994, Della Valle joined Omnitel Pronto Italia in various roles, before the acquisition by Vodafone in 2000. In July 2020, Della Valle been nominated non-executive director of Reckitt Benckiser Group plc. During his long career, Della Valle – who was recently named Alumna of the year for 2022 at Milan’s Bocconi university – has worked with both Aldo Bisio and Vittorio Colao, former number one at the telecommunications giant and more recently Minister of Draghi government.
