The Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Culture Vittorio Sgarbi will apply as mayor of Arpino, the municipality of 6,700 inhabitants in the province of Frosinone which was the birthplace of Cicero and the Roman leader Gaius Marius. The announcement will be made tomorrow at noon during a press conference in the rooms of the Cavalier d’Arpino.
Vittorio Sgarbi just two weeks ago gave up the possibility of running for mayor instead giving his willingness to play the role of councilor for culture in the administration that will come out of the polls on 14-15 May next.
