The world champion dream comes true for the brothers Michelangelo And Alessandra Quaranta of the Barion Rowing Club who will participate in the World Rowing Beach Sprint Championships in Wales, starting on Friday 14 October. A long-awaited moment, punctuated by the great emotion of representing Italy hoping to win a prestigious medal. His brother and sister, 18 years old and 16 her, will compete together in one of the nine blue crews made official by the technical director Francesco Cattaneo for the world rowing event.
The duo Quaranta will attempt the feat in the junior mixed doubles, a specialty in which the athletes of the Bari club of Molo San Nicola graduated as Italian champions in Barletta last July. And the result obtained in the event held in Puglia, which served as a selection for international competitions, allowed them to remove the pass for Wales.
Three days, until Sunday, in the company of the coach Alessandro Dironzo and with the support of the section manager, Maria Cristina Rizzo. An event that will bring the Barion rowers back to the international scene once again.
