Tennis, Musetti in the quarterfinals at the Florence tournament: the Spaniard Zapata Miralles overwhelmed

After Matteo Berrettini left the scene, the 20-year-old from Carrara needed only 68 minutes to beat the Spanish Bernabe 6-3 6-0 Zapata Miralles. On Friday the access to the semifinals will be played against the American Mackenzie McDonald who eliminated the blue wild card Francesco Passaro, beating him 6-4, 7-5.

An authentic test of strength, that of Musetti. One statistic above all: the blue scored 91 per cent of points on his first serve. “I decided in advance which shots to play and then these I succeeded”, Lorenzo told Supertennis Tv microphones, who revealed that he is now very comfortable playing on indoor surfaces, “perhaps even better than on clay”. One last line was reserved for Andreas Seppi (38 years old), who just today announced that he wants to hang up his racquet at the end of this season. “He announced it to me a few days ago during the Sofia tournament. He is a friend and an idol, for me: I’m sure he will do very well in tennis even after retirement.”

For his part, Matteo Berrettini on Instagram thanked the Florentine public and the Tuscan city for the affection with which they followed him, even if his tournament lasted only one meeting. The blue then announced: “After speaking with my team, I am happy to announce that I will participate in the Napoli cup tennis next week”.
