Turin, the picnic for the rights of rainbow families

A few hundred Rainbow families gathered today in the gardens in front of the Arsenale della Pace to raise the issue of rights and hospitality. An initiative organized by the Turin Pride LGBT Coordination. And between moments of reflection, songs and testimonies, different stories and lives intersected.

“Talking about these issues, even with initiatives like this one, in a country governed by a totally insensitive and closed right wing on the issue of Rainbow families is essential,” say the organizers. «Italy cannot be the rear of Europe on the question of rights. And today we are here to ask for it. Ideological closures have always been a cause of suffering for many people”.
