There is already the first Via Berlusconi: it is in Apricena, in Puglia

Love for Silvio Berlusconi and his memory is worth a waiver. The council of the small town of Apricena, in the Province of Foggia, has approved the establishment of the first Via Berlusconi in Italy. The provision bears the signature of Antonio Potenzaforced mayor who had conquered the audience of the party event in Naples by speaking of his experience in local authorities.

“The popular and national condolences for the passing of the Cavaliere – Potenza explains to Foglio – prompted us to proceed immediately with the resolution that names a central street in our country in memory of the former prime minister. It is at a crucial junction for our community: in that street there is a health district and a bus terminal”.

In the next few days there will also be the laying of the plaque even if the center-left opposition appeals for the non-compliance of the ten-year period (from the death) for the naming. There is no power in controversy: “There are dozens of exceptions in Italian toponymy. Our city has simply decided to crystallize this wave of affection towards the statesman, entrepreneur, political leader and Prime Minister who more than any other has made headlines around the world”.

The Heel of Italy confirms itself as a true Berlusconi enclave as well as a beloved land in recent years by the blue leader. Just the governor Michele Emiliano recalled in recent days that “Berlusconi spent the last happy days of his life here”, regretting “for modesty” not to have gone to meet him in his stay in Puglia.
