The waltz of Pd appointments continues in Lazio: Zingaretti’s chief of staff commissioner of Arsial

The passion for nominations never stops. Not even in the middle of the electoral campaign, not even with an (ex) outgoing governor like Nicola Zingaretti. Thus, with a decree of the President of the vicar region, Andrew Neapolitan he was appointed new commissioner of Arsial, the regional agency for the development of innovation and agriculture. A role that will be played until the end of this legislature and for the first three months of the next one. However, that of Neapolitan is not just any name: in fact, since November 2021 he has held the position of Zingaretti’s cabinet chief, indicated by the president himself.

Also for this reason, the opposition immediately raised accusations against “the Pd system”, which “continues to bend the institutions to their interests until the last day”as stated in a note by Corrotti Lauraregional councilor of the Brothers of Italy who used very harsh words against the last appointment of Pisana.

Before becoming commissioner of Arsial, Napolitano was general manager of Ater – the territorial company for residential construction of the municipality of Rome – as well as having held positions in the Ministry of Economic Development, the Agency for the promotion abroad and the internationalization of Italian companies and having also been vice president of Waipa, the World association of investment promotion agencies.

Skills that will be placed at the service of Lazio agriculture in the next few days, but in the meantime immediately good for fleshing out the already thick literature that links the Roman Democratic Party to appointments and roles. Not even a month ago, in fact, the oppositions had arisen once again over the affair of the Egatos, the bodies set up for the coordination of waste management at the provincial level, whose presidencies would have been divided between Pd, M5s and Forza Italia, guaranteeing a parachute to those directors who are not re-nominated for the next elections in February. Then the controversy slowed down the process. That time, perplexity was also raised by a resolution, promoted by the grillini, which increased the compensation for the top management of the Egatos: around 8,000 euros a month. So much so that in the end even the candidate Alessio D’amato had to take a stand: “To cut them will be my first act as president”, he promised.

And always remaining within the scope of Pd appointments, but within the urban perimeter of Roberto Gualtieri’s competence, the board of directors of the foundation that governs the Auditorium – one of Rome’s temples of concerts and events – had approved a new governance, passing from a managing director to a well four managers and at the same time increasing the number of offices and functions.
