There is a new Emirate that is being born between the Arctic and the North Sea, which promises to become more important than Saudi Arabia and Kuwait, and which is called Norway. Saudi Arabia and Iran, like Iraq or Libya or Venezuela or Russia, in fact, are powers for hydrocarbonsoil and gas, assets which, as we move towards the energy transition, are destined to lose importance compared to the producers of lithium of the “South American triangle” Chile-Bolivia-Argentina, or at Rare lands, which the West is desperately trying to remove from the Chinese monopoly; or to other raw materials linked to technologies such as electric cars or photovoltaics.
