The secret services draw on the excellence of civil society. In recent days, the Information System for the Security of the Republic has launched a specific search notice aimed at young professionals with training and skills in the following sectors:
algorithmics for cryptanalysis, photo-interpretation of satellite images and machine learning techniques for biometric recognition. The goal of Italian intelligence, in the field of human resources, is to “constantly select the best resources to be placed at the service of the country, for the safeguarding of national security and for the protection of strategic interests in the political, military, economic, scientific fields and industrial”.
Naturally – it is specified – in addition to technical skills, “reliability and security, a strong sense of responsibility and attachment to the institutions of the state, as well as proven confidentiality skills” are required.

The procedure is defined: following a preliminary curricular screening, candidates will undergo the required selection procedures, including verification of possession of adequate professional knowledge and skills, psycho-physical and aptitude suitability and reliability and safety requirements . In case of recruitment, the professional qualification assigned will take into account the results of the selection, the qualifications and professional experience of the candidate.
