L’Edith Pride, the project to support companies and the public administration, is entering a more advanced stage after the ministerial decree which finances technology transfer centers in Italy with 350 million. “In line with the objectives of the Pnrr – it has highlighted Edward Imperialmanaging director of the Campania Dih-Confindustria Network and Coordinator of Edih-Pride – the Technology Transfer Centers are strengthened, indispensable structures for supporting the innovation processes of Italian companies, which are even more important for the digital transition. In this scenario, concrete and strategic projects for businesses are already active in Campania».

The funds

The Government provision allocates, out of the total 350 million euros , 113.4 million for the refinancing of the 8 highly specialized competence centres; 33.6 million for the co-financing of the 13 European Digital Innovation Poles (Edih) selected following the European tender Digital Europe; finally, a share of around 114.5 million for the 24 European digital innovation poles that have received the “Seal of Excellence” from the European Commission. The Campania-branded project can therefore start.


«Operational phase»

«Now there are – says Imperiale – all the conditions to make the Regional Center for Evolved Digital Innovation even more operational which is one of the thirteen Italian European Digital Innovation Hubs already funded by the European Commission». Coordinated by the Campania Digital Innovation Hub – Rete Confindustria Scarl, the Edih Pride is made up of an industrial and scientific partnership formed by the Consortium “Meditech – Mediterranean Competence Center 4 Innovation”, by Cerict – Regional Center of Competence in ICT and by ICAR – Institute of Computing and High Performance Networks of the Cnr.

Assistance

“Pride – concludes Imperiale – will provide SMEs and the PA with testing and experimentation services, training courses for the development of digital skills, assistance and consultancy services for accessing financial instruments for innovation. It will also promote the development of the regional digitization ecosystem. In line with the Digital Europe program and the Pnnr, it has the task of contribute to the digital transition of the Campania industrial and economic system».
