The Pd agitates on the reforms. But Schlein closes to Meloni: “They are not a priority”

“The country’s priorities are other”. This is the line that emerged from the secretariat convened this morning by Pd secretary Elly Schlein. Of this opinion would be the deputy Simona Bonafèthe new head of the Pnrr in the secretariat Alexander Alfieri. As well as the Senator Dario Parrini, who yesterday interviewed by the Republic invited Schlein to sit at the table with Meloni, respecting the will of the so-called reformists. Including Lorenzo Guerini and Stefano Bonaccini, who however in the last few hours have preferred not to comment.

On the other hand, Schlein’s reading of “there are other priorities” was largely shared by his followers, such as the group leader in the Senate Francesco Boccia or the deputy Chiara Gribaudo. From the series: it makes no sense to engage on this dossier, to support the government, if our goal is to remain firmly in the opposition. Strategy that has made all those who consider the Democratic Party a government party turn up their noses. In addition to Azione and Italia viva, which rejected presidentialism but said they were ready to discuss corrective measures, even if on different positions (Calenda would like the chancellorship while Renzi insists on the model of the “mayor of Italy”).

On the hypothesis that the oppositions do not participate in the process of constitutional reforms, government officials have also expressed their views.
