The motion on Russia as a terrorist state has forced the right to make five sensational abjurations

We confess that we were favorably surprised by the choice made, on Wednesday afternoon, by the Lega, Forza Italia and Fratelli d’Italia in the European Parliament to vote en masse and without ambiguity on a very important resolution with which European legislators recognized that Russia it is a state that sponsors terrorism and it is a state that uses terrorist methods. We confess that we were favorably surprised by the unambiguous choice made by some parties which in the recent past have shown a great deal of ambiguity with respect to Putin’s Russia and, unable to believe our eyes, we wondered if by chance the resolution, 29,000 lines, did not contain some duplicity such as to make the bite less bitter for Putin’s old friends forced to acknowledge now that their old friend uses terrorist methods. We therefore armed ourselves with holy patience, we read the ten pages of the resolution and once we finished reading, even more incredulous, we wondered if the parties that voted for the resolution, while they voted for it, realized what they voted for . The resolution approved on Wednesday by the European Parliament is a formidable one, not only because it nails Putin to his responsibilities, to his war crimes, but also because, indirectly, it forces the old Trojan horses of Putinism to implement a sensational abjuration of the just recent past.
