The last sex-gate in British politics this time falls to a Labor Party. But from Profumo onwards, in the halls of power in London there is a long tradition of scandals (about which he has much fictionalized, even on TV)

In a tradition-obsessed Kingdom like the United Kingdom, there is one that is carefully pursued and prosecuted: the sex scandal that overwhelms the politician of the moment. Sixty years after the Profumo scandal, the reprobate is called Geraint Davies, at Westminster since 1997, since 2010 MP for Swansea, Wales, and in fact interim chairman of a committee that deals with Welsh affairs whose previous chairman, the Conservative Neil Parish, the detail is delightful, had had to resign because he was caught watching porn videos in the hallowed halls of the mother of all parliaments. Davies is accused by six women, two of whom actually filed charges. The scoop was made by the tough site Politico.eu and the accusation is of “unwanted sexual attention, both physical and verbal”.
