Concerned about the environment, but unaware of energy classes
Worried about the environment or your wallet? But the figure is down 5 points compared to the 2022 survey. Last year’s share was probably influenced by the surge in gas prices. He also presents us with another interpretation for the survey: only a minority of Italians know the energy classification of their home and underestimate the problem. Thus we learn from Nomisma that only 36% of respondents believe that their accommodation is in the three worst energy classes (E, F, G), i.e. those targeted by the EU directive on green homes. The reality, however, says quite the opposite: the data relating to the energy certifications carried out reveal that almost three quarters of residential buildings fall under those three classes.
