Every 4th May, as a grenade fan, I have to honor the memory of Grande Torino, a team which, thanks to the beauty of its game and its victories, contributed to the happiness of a country which was recovering from the rubble of the Second World War. That 4 May 1949, the day of the tragic plane crash in Superga, the country united in boundless pain. Now it will become a historic date also for the many Napoli fans: the day of the third Scudetto. As in every aspect of life, joy and pain intertwine, chase each other, move symmetrically. We, Toro fans, every May 4th remember the deeds of a team we’ve never seen play and pass on a rhyme to our children to recite in one sitting: BacigalupoBallarinMarosoGrezarRigamontiCastiglianoMentiLoikGabettoMazzolaOssola.
