“Even if distant positions, an advantage can come from the comparison”, comments Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni on the meeting with the social partners, which took place on May 30 at Palazzo Chigi. The government illustrated its proposals on reforms and taxation for the unions, which as we know are critical on many points. However, the government says it is ready to listen to the proposals of the social partners, even on issues not on the table, in the belief that dialogue and confrontation “can give an advantage even when the positions are distant”.

“Today’s appointment is part of the process of comparison and dialogue that this government has decided to establish with the social partners – said the premier -, a necessary and appropriate comparison to give us a more cadenced organization of work and for a structured and I hope it will be profitable, in compliance with the priorities that the country has and that the government has decided to adopt and with respect to the respective positions on specific issues”.
