The deal was entered into with Arjowiggings after it went into receivership

(IMAGOECONOMICA)

The group Fedrigoniactive in the production of fine papers for luxury packaging, premium labels and self-adhesive materials, has entered into an agreement with the Anglo-French multinational Arjowiggings for the acquisition of Guarro Casas, with over 300 years of history and strong skills in the production and finishing of special graphic papers. The company is based in Gelida (Barcelona), Spain, where it operates with a plant with 140 people.
The deal was signed a few days after that Arjowiggings Group and its UK subsidiaries have applied for receivership. The whole company has in fact gone bankrupt and Fedrigoni has recovered a piece that allows it to go even further into the luxury segment.

Guarro Casas is a company specialized in the production of quality papers, in particular for binding and creative applications, where it is the market leader in luxury packaging, publishing and security applications. «The acquisition of Guarro Casas is a new chapter in our global growth strategy in the world of specialty papers for premium packaging and other creative applications, which will allow us to serve brands, designers, printers and converters even better. The entry of this new reality into our group will allow us to enrich the offer portfolio with further skills and technologies that are highly complementary to ours – he comments Marco Nespolo, CEO of the Fedrigoni Group -. Future synergies may also concern Fedrigoni’s self-adhesives division, with particular reference to the premium label segment.
