The “De Luca case” risks turning into a catchphrase for Elly Schlein. The secretary of the Democratic Party has decided to organize the dem convention on differentiated autonomy in Naples on 14 and 15 July, which will be attended by the mayors and governors of the Democratic Party and the other local administrators of the party. Yesterday, before confirming the appointment, at the Nazarene they had thought about whether it was not the case to postpone that initiative or to move to another place. But why so much excitement? For De Luca, of course. It is impossible not to invite him to the city where the regional council of Campania which he presides over is based. But inviting him is a risk. Because De Luca lets it filter that he could desert the demonstration. Which would mean that instead of dedicating themselves to the dem proposals on differentiated autonomy, the newspapers would devote themselves to yet another quarrel in the Pd house. But even if the governor participates anyway, there would be problems since no one can know what he will say and if he wants to argue from the stage with the secretary. In short, a good problem. To which must be added the fact that the mayors of the area have pointed out in Rome that a summer weekend is not exactly the best date to convene a convention if you want it to be crowded.
