Yesterday the Golar Tundra ship entered the port of Piombino. It arrived there after a long journey, both physical (from Singapore) and administrative. It offers an essential contribution to the country’s energy security and allows two important lessons to be learned. The first is that, if there is a will, things get done. In about a year we went from starting the search for a floating unit to import liquefied natural gas to anchoring it at the destination site.
