The head of state, on an official visit to Switzerland, drafted the budget law bill that will land in Parliament

In Italy, much has been done on the Pnrr as regards tax evasion, with much concreteness and indications and there are no signs that this chapter will be changed. This was stated by the President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella when answering a question on the matter during the joint press conference with the Swiss President Ignazio Cassis, and clarifying that the fight against tax evasion remains central to the National Recovery and Resilience Plan.

Mattarella then urged caution in defining Italy as a black jersey on the issue of tax evasion. Answering journalists’ questions in Bern after his conversation with the President of the Swiss Confederation, Ignazio Cassis, the President of the Republic observed: I’m always wary when I hear these definitions: black jersey, last in the standings, I’m always resistant to the use of these definitions that are essentially unscientific.
