The budget law is hesitating in an amending chaos that on the one hand was taken for granted, given the very tight deadlines, on the other not because it confirms a suspicion: the majority parties had never seriously discussed how, where and how much to get involved once the elections were won. The approval in the Council of Ministers sent the knots to be resolved back to Parliament, with Lega and Forza Italia engaged in an attempt to bring back what was not in the text but was dear to them. It is therefore not only the confirmation of the pathological circumvention of Parliament, increasingly serious from year to year, on the Budget law, with unheeded calls from the Quirinale.
