Come on Italy restarts after the disappearance of its leader, Silvio Berlusconi. Antonio Tajanicurrent vice president and coordinator, will assume the regency of the party until the congress which will in all probability be held no earlier than 2024.

Today, at 12, at the FI headquarters in Rome Tajani himself, the group leaders Paolo Barelli, Licia Ronzulli and Fulvio Martusciello representing the MEPs hold a press conference.

As expected party statutein case of permanent impediment of the leader, a Presidential Committee is convened as soon as possible which in turn convenes the National Council to indicate the new president, who will be regent until the congress is held.

For the party founded by Berlusconi the first important milestone to verify stability depends on the European elections to be held in June next year.

Tomorrow, Saturday 17 June, Tajani will be in Molise for the electoral campaign of the regional elections. The Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister will be accompanied by Senator Claudio Lotito, regional coordinator of the party. Tajani will be at 3.30 pm in Venafro (D’Ausilio pastry shop, in via Colonia Giulia), then at 4.30 pm in Isernia (piazza Celestino V) and in Campobasso (6.00 pm in piazza Prefettura). Finally, the electoral tour in Molise will close in Termoli at 20 in the electoral headquarters of the center-right presidential candidate Francesco Roberti.
